Art has proliferated like never before and instead of looking back and taking inspiration, people are just letting it flow. Life has changed for many and so has Art! Women, in particular, have rewired themselves to perform exceptionally well on all fronts. Their innate ability to create and weave things together has redefined their outlook and perception. New dimensions of thinking are being reflected in the works created during this period and as an artist and curator, I feel it is an honour to bring them under an umbrella and celebrate this power in the best way we can!

These strong and unconventional creative women will be harbingers of new ideas and love and will instill a sense of strength in each one of us on this International Women’s Day.
Women have skilfully endured everything and moved on like warriors keeping the energy factor high. Her heart and thoughts reflect in every aspect of her personality. The new-age woman can multitask, take risks, make the right choices and speak her mind out whenever needed. This massive development needs to be celebrated and every success story should result in inspirational leadership for the rest of the tribe.

GLORIA FU KEH
It all began when I was a child, growing up with my late father, Martin Fu, an oil painter. He showed me how art could transport one to another world. We were very poor and could not afford lots of things. I took flight into a world of fantasy and up till today, almost 70 years later, still return to this safe place, where paint, paper and canvases have proven my best friends.
I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to participate in over 150 offline exhibitions and have had 16 solos. Plus received over 25 international awards. In fact, I have stopped counting. The numbers dont matter anymore.
To me, all this is sheer Grace. Or as swamiji would say ‘prasad’.
Now at 73, art features more in my daily life than ever before. I am immersed in art. I am in art and art is in me.
And I thank all those who have made this journey possible. Kind folks like my curator- artist friend, Sanjukta Barik.

Ildiko Morovszki
After leaving India in 2019, I have not been able to reach for a brush for several months, with a permanent feeling that I have left all my inspirations and themes in India. I felt like a fallen leaf. It was a very critical period for me.
Now back in India, i continue with my artistic Journey.
Interestingly, after some time, exactly that “fallen leaf feeling” turned out to be the new inspiration for me to paint again. From one side, I wanted to express that, in lieu of motivation and themes, this woman artist was still “on the floor”, artistically knocked out, but on the other side I wanted to demonstrate that for me the way out from that position was to turn to myself, to my womanhood, as a new theme.

KAORU KUSHIMA
I have been drawing since I was a child. I majored in humanities at university. During that time, I felt the desire to draw again. When I was in junior high school, I had a hard time with relationships. I started to teach myself to draw in order to heal those wounds, and to heal others as well.

DR. KUSUMLATA SHARMA
A meditative Exploration of Nature’s Silent Symphony
nI the realm of art, there exist creators whose works transcend the conventional boundaries of perception, beckoning viewers into a world of enchantment and introspection. Among these visionary artists stands Kusum Sharma, whose profound connection to nature breathes life Into her mesmerizing canvases. Drawing inspiration from the silent symphony of colors found in the natural world, her artwork is an evocative exploration of the interplay between subtle hues and concealed geometries.
the core of Kusum Sharma’s oeuvre Iles a deep reverence for nature’s intrinsic beauty.
Her paintings seem to embody a sense of tranquility, emanating a quietude that envelops viewers ni an ethereal embrace. Through her meticulous use of color, Kusum conjures the serenity of a gentle breeze rustling through a lush meadow, or the soft glow of sunlight filtering through a dense forest canopy. Her palette flows seamlessly, effortlessly bringing forth the essence of nature’s splendor.
Yet, amidst the subtle interplay of hues, something intriguing unfolds. Within the folds of her artistic creation, human figures emerge mysteriously. Veiled amidst the landscape’s intricacies, they almost seem like phantoms, inviting contemplation on the human connection to the natural world. These enigmatic apparitions serve as windows into the emotional landscapes of Kusum Sharma’s mind, allowing viewers to connect with the profound depths of her thoughts and emotions.
Moreover, hidden geometry lurks beneath the surface of her artwork, revealing itself only upon closer inspection. Delicate patterns and intricate designs dance beneath the colors, creating a harmonious fusion between nature’s organic chaos and the ordered structures of geometry. This symbiotic relationship embodies a profound philosophy – the coexistence of spontaneity and structure in both art and life.
Kusum Sharma’s artistic process is nothing short of a meditative journey. Each stroke of her brush, each infusion of color, and each hidden geometry is a testament to her unwavering commitment to the craft. Her approach to art is a testament to her dedication and hardworking nature, elevating her paintings to a new dimension of expression and meaning.
In experiencing Kusum Sharma’s works, one is transported to a different realm altogether. It is a realm where nature speaks in whispers, where colors resonate in harmony, and where human figures and hidden geometries exist ni unison. Through her art, Kusum Sharma invites us to confront strange landscapes, not only within her canvases but also within ourselves,
urging us to delve deeper into our connection with the natural world and the underlying mysteries of life.
In conclusion, Kusum Sharma’s art is a profound and evocative exploration of nature’s beauty and the enigmatic interplay of colors, human forms, and concealed geometries. It is a journey of self-reflection and wonder, inviting viewers to immerse themselves ni the artist’s meditative world and contemplate the mysteries of existence. Her works stand as a testament to the transformative power of art, inspiring us to find solace and inspiration ni the silent symphony of nature’s embrace.

ART JOURNEY
As a passionate artist, my creative voyage has been a winding path of discovery, growth, and self-expression. From the early days of experimentation to the present moment, my art has been a reflection of my inner world, shaped by experiences, emotions, and observations.
With each brushstroke, I’ve sought to capture the essence of life, exploring themes of nature, humanity, and the interconnectedness of all things. Through various mediums and techniques, I’ve pushed the boundaries of my creativity, embracing challenges and celebrating triumphs.
This journey has been marked by milestones, from participating in National & International exhibitions to receiving recognition for my work. Yet, the true reward lies not in external validation, but in the joy of creating, the thrill of bringing ideas to life, and the connection with others who resonate with my art.
As I continue on this path, I’m excited to see where my art will take me next. I invite you to join me on this journey, to share in the beauty, the inspiration, and the creative expression that fuels my soul.

MICHELLE SCHULZ
Originally trained in fashion design at a prestigious London college, Michelle found her truest expression in fine art. Her paintings radiate—an interplay of acrylic and oil, where the deliberate placement of warm and cool tones ignites each canvas with depth and luminosity. Every brushstroke carries a sense of urgency, a heartbeat echoing the stories of the animals she portrays.
Drawing from the richness of her surroundings and a deep-rooted nostalgia, her work is more than an aesthetic experience—it is a conversation. A challenge. A call to look deeper. With an instinct for capturing both the joy and fleeting fragility of life, Michelle’s paintings transcend the ordinary, offering a moment of connection in an ever-changing world.
An internationally recognized artist, Michelle regularly exhibits her work in both local and overseas exhibitions, sharing her vision with audiences across different cultures. Her work continues to spark dialogue and bring new energy to spaces, inspiring collectors and art lovers alike.

Her work is characterised by the air of whimsy, flat bright polished surfaces and the extraordinary plethora of intricately worked details and patterns.
Nayanaa says “When the world which disturbs me and the world of which I have a deep understanding are amalgamated and absorbed , a new artistic dialect is created. My paintings intend to make you feel that you are watching a snapshot of life at maximum preposterousness , exuberant and bursting with energy. The conversation I hope to create in my work is a certain truth of life and on a deeper level, a well thought philosophy. Individuals may interpret my paintings in vastly disparate ways and each view will be equally logical and plausible, thought provoking and intriguing. My work delights the viewer with its whimsy yet contains the most important social messages of our lives.”

REBECA DORICH

SANGEETA KUMAR MURTHY
I, Sangeeta is a contemporary artist based in Gurugram, and for the 30 years, I have been evolving in art from experimental rather than theoretical base. Initially, my expression of art was driven by figurative forms balanced with abstract architectural elements, but, over the years, it has matured into a harmonious incorporation of nature. It shift in imagery in my work is discernible in her measured intuitive steps towards a compositional style of a variable with deep perspective and mythological insights.
Today, my work echoes around the turtle, itself a creature steeped in allegory and myth, dating back to almost when the world began. My interest in this little-sought species was kindled during a visit to Sri Lanka in 2012. Representing India at the SAARC Artist Camp held in Colombo, I visited a turtle breeding farm, and was fascinated by this creature, whose resilience even survived the wrath of the Tsunami of 2004.
Other elements of nature too find strong presence in my work. Fish, birds, trees, plants, leaves, and flowers (especially lotuses) take on vivid imagery in her artistic expression. Also reflected in my work and palette is my strong commitment to ecology and sustainability. Working with NGOs on the environmental concerns, including climate change and global warming, I passionately believes an artist must contribute to the society by spreading awareness on critical issues through his or her best form of expression –their art. My work includes incorporates elements of Feng Shui, Vaastu Shastra and Numerology, and the conscious energy of divinity and spirituality is beautifully reflected too.
Art is not solely the prerogative of the refined academic elite, feels I’m a self-taught artist. I believe to be an artist, one does not need to attend art school. What is needed is imagination from within, persistence and dedication, and the vision to transform an experience or emotional connection into a work of art. The artwork, I believes one should not need an explanation; it should speak to the viewer, or be felt by the viewer. Today, I shares my love of beauty and art with students of different gender, ability and backgrounds, ranging in age from 5 to 83 years, as I works for 8 to 9 hours at a stretch, and that, despite having learned more than 40 varieties of art, I continues to learn each day. My works fills the viewer with wonder, a marvellous sense of upliftment and the route of self-expression through re-interpretation and reinvention creates an interesting resonance with the world around us, as I marries realism with elegant aesthetics to create masterpieces that are thought-provoking, profound and yet beautifully restful. I have done ten solo shows and has participated in more than two hundred group shows organized across the country and oversea. My works are part of many significant places like Visitor’s Lounge at Prime Minister of India’s residence, also my works can be found in several private and public collections in India and abroad. The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.

SAITO CECILIA KAORU
I first encountered art when I was a child, reading the World Literature Collection every day and seeing the works of world-famous painters, mainly Impressionists. The illustrations for the stories in that book were done by painters who were famous in Japan at the time. I was also blessed with great mentors. I had the opportunity to meet teachers such as Japan’s leading painters, sculptors, craftsmen, and world-famous film camera directors. This broadened my horizons, and I began to work not only in painting, but also in sculpture and video. I was also blessed with a good environment, with professional musicians and calligraphers as relatives. I am very grateful for meeting my teachers.
Last year, I became interested in the collective consciousness that humanity shares. It was a good opportunity to imagine what we might think together to solve the various problems that are occurring in the world, and what we humans want together. In other words, I didn’t want my artwork to be merely on an individual level. I have been putting that idea into my works over the last year. I would like to introduce two of them today.
If you look closely at the red piece, if you turn it sideways, you can see the figure of a Native American. In Japan, they were called Indians for a long time. Of course, they were not Indians, but they were called that in Japan. This has now been corrected. As the title says, our future is definitely moving towards the Cape of Hope, and I believe that when we can be convinced of this, we can definitely move in that direction.
You can see various figures in the blue painting. This is an image of the woman on the far right carrying her dream in her bag. Everyone wants peace. However, Japanese people have been led to believe that peace will not come. However, more and more people are starting to wake up to this. I am very grateful to the country of India. Learning Sanskrit and the Vedas is a treasure in my life. I am truly happy that India and Japan have such a close relationship.

SNEH MOHAN
Society based on Consumerism has lost importance of Relationships. The bond of love is weak. I have given importance to these basic values and my work successfully show the movement of middle class from relationships progressing towards a better and loving world. My creations- even mini sculptures created by me are very attractive, with smooth finish and beautiful details. My
sculptures exhibit passions of a middle class family of present times. I portray reality. I use Wood, Bronze and Fibreglass. These are my thoughts, my emotions that I convey in my Sculptures.

Sushma Raj Bhandari
Sushma Rajbhandari ,one of the renowned contempory Nepali artists, present spiritual subject matters using modern technique of art. She strikes a balance between tradition and modernity. Her artworks grow out of her cultural roots and go beyond established trends of art.She presents archetypesin visual form.Although she experimented with and practiced various contents and forms, she focused on Lord Ganesh’s figure using the expressionist form. She links the world with divinity exploring universal spirit and oneness of feeling and underlined condition among all beings. Her paintings appeal to cooperation, harmony and peace in society. After mastering the realistic technique, she altered the form using distored and unusual color and images. The artist also experimented with melting images, juxtaposing contrary shapes and free association of figures creating a dreamlike reality. At present ,she has also made abtract forms having spiritual overtones.

TABASSUM YUSUF
Freedom is always felt by the heart, what you feel about the particular topic you draw it in your canvas, painting holds no boundaries. I draw what my heart tells me, it’s like a game of question and answer, you ask yourself what it means and you give yourself answers without being hesitant. The Artwork “Umeed ki Kiran” (Ray of hope) and “Struggle” shows the people struggleing to keep their freedom by doing what they like and want in their life. -Mrs. Tabassum Yusuf
